Ila Gene Peters, 89, of Ashley passed away at Riverside Hospital on Sunday, December 28, 2014.
She was born in New Concord, Ohio on March 31, 1925, the daughter of the late Martin Luther Medley and Wilma Marie (Sarchet) Medley.
Ila was a 1943 graduate of Byesville High School. She loved raising cattle and horses, and enjoyed reading, needle point, and gardening.
On April 21, 1945 Ila married Owen Claire Peters, who precedes him in death.
Ila is survived by her two daughters, Roberta (Daniel) Neill of Powell, and Judy Peters of Ashley; five grandchildren, Robert Neill, Michael (Andrea) Neill, Patrick (Mary) Neill, Christopher Neill, and Thomas (Brianne) Neill; four great grandchildren, Olivia Neill, Kylee Neill, Natasha Neill, and Gabriella Antzna; and one sister, Mary (Edward) Ruby.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ila is preceded in death by three sisters, Vesta Martin, Juliette Barton, and Nancy Medley; and one brother, James Medley.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2014 at Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center from 5-7 pm.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, January 7, 2014 at Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center. Burial will follow at Kingwood Memorial Park.

THEODORE HUGHES, age 62, went home to be with the Lord Thurday, November 20th.
Visitation Tuesday 3-7 P.M. with the family being present from 5-7 p.m. at Rogers Funeral Service Chapel, 13201 Euclid Ave., E., Cleveland.
Interment Wednesday, Nov. 26 in Louisville, MS.

Marilyn Scarborough (nee Radtke) passed away September 10th and is survived by two sons, her father, Harold Radtke, and sister, Linda Radtke. She showed horses in her youth. All services were private. |
Alice D. Seabright, 89, of South Wheeling, died Monday August 25, 2014 in Cumberland Point Nursing Home, St. Clairsville, Ohio.
She was born September 12, 1924 in Wheeling, WV., the daughter of the late Raymond & Helen Donahie. Alice was a retired secretary for Bruce H. Seabright GMC Trucks, was involved in American Saddlebred show horses for Wakitatina Farms, and a Lutheran by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bruce H. Seabright Sr. and two sisters. Surviving are a son, Bruce H. Seabright II of Bridgeport, Ohio, two granddaughters, Karissa Letscher of Tempe, AZ., Jennifer L Seabright of Colerain, Ohio, and a great-granddaughter, TayLynn Letscher of Tempe, AZ.
Interment in Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, Ohio.
